I use this great rice cooker, not for rice but for my breakfast which is usually cooked apples & raisins with other dried fruit & spices. Delicious! I am never bored with it & it is recommended for many people by Ayurvedic physicians.
I took out the steaming tray & just put in water & apples etc & switch on.
When the water runs out the cooker automatically turns it off & I never burn my pan & I don't
have to watch it. I just get on with my shower etc. & there it is turned to the warm setting
& waiting for me when I'm ready for it.
I've also used it for oatmeal, & a mixed whole grain cooked cereal. For this it does spill out of
the air vent of the lid a bit but by putting the steamer on a tray it works out well & is easy to
clean up. The bottom sticks a bit but when I turn off the cooker & let it sit just a couple of
minutes the food releases easily to I can eat it with no waste or trouble cleaning the pot.
I am so happy with my Miracle Exclusives Stainless Steel Rice Cooker!
The lid has a handle that is kept on by an alumimum screw inside the pot so I just put on a stainless steel
lid from another saucepan, that's just incase you too are fanatic about avoiding aluminum in
cooking.
I really recommend the cooker for the freedom & carefree start to the day it always gives me.
